PM’s comments disappointed nation : BNP

18 July,2016

RTNN News Desk: Claiming that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s remarks on national unity disappointed the nation, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has reiterated its call to build national unity irrespective of opinion and party.

BNP’s standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan made the call in a press briefing at the party’s Naya Paltan office on Monday while giving reaction to the PM's comment on Sunday.

"The Prime Minister has said a national unity had already created. Such comment made by a responsible leader frustrated the nation," said the senior BNP leader.

Mentioning that militancy and extremism have raised their heads because of the failure, inefficiency and callousness of the government, he said "National consensus never be built by a lone party."

Nazrul Islam also laid emphasis on sitting all parties together to save the country.
